ruby throat live at the woom dvd

September 23rd, 2008

People in the UK who have purchased the unofficial Ruby Throat Live at the woom DVD being distributed by Light Box Productions, should be receiving it either today or in the next few days. People outside the UK will of course have more of a wait. The DVD comes housed in a slimline case with full front and rear artwork printed on glossy paper. Each copy is numbered in the bottom right hand corner of the inner sleeve. It has an interactive menu system and you can choose from playing the whole live set or choosing which song to hear. The extras on the disc are brief montages of fans exploring Katie’s Darling, They’ve Found The Body art exhibition before the live set and vox pops of their reactions afterwards. Sound quality is excellent throughout and the live footage is crisp and clear, the editing never harsh or frantic. The only downside to the whole thing is the fact the item is not an ‘official’ Ruby Throat release. The tracklisting, cover art and purchase link for those interested, follow the jump.

attention last.fm users

August 25th, 2008

This is more of a request than news of any sort. On last.fm the Corps Electriques project has been tagged under at least 5 different artists. Just a few: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I am aware that iTunes has the album listed as Katie Jane Garside & Hector Zazou.

To get a realistic idea of just how many people are listening to the project, would it be too audacious to suggest the album be re-tagged as Corps Electriques? To support this idea here is a quote from Hector Zazou:

“I.S. was chosen during a short time as band name before giving it up for Corps Electriques for album title and name project.”

Thank you for reading and please leave comments with your thoughts.
